Brewed with the juice of over 10,000 luscious pomegranates, ORIGIN is a complex, rich and balanced Imperial Amber Ale with a truly unique character. The pomegranate juice is added during fermentation, leaving only the residual sugars, which serve to balance the hop bitterness.

Draft. Clear amber color, small white head that settles quickly. Aroma of booze, subtle poms and light citrus. Taste has subtle fruit, but is pretty boozy for a fruit beer.

Still yet another 12 oz. bottle purchased at Julio’s Liquors. Dark amber color with fast fleeting head. Aroma is almost all pomegranate with touches of toffee.
I didn’t have much of an expectation because I already knew how this was going to be. Flavor is mostly pomegranates, candy sugar and a sweet berry finish. This reminds me a lot of the juice “POM” . Oily texture with proper carbonation level. Yep, it is what it is folks. It still is drinkable if you want a fruit beer.

Bottle. A- Malty, caramel, fruity. A- Amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Malty, caramel, dark fruits, slightly sweet, doughy. P- Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- I love pomegranates and was excited for this beer. From the first to the last taste, I couldn’t even find a subtle hint of pomegranate. This sits somewhere between an Irish Ale and an Amber Ale for me. It’s creamy and smooth and has some fruity caramel tones but no where near what the name implies. Overall, I was quite disappointed in this beer.

Bottle - Caramel, sweet malts, boozey, more like a barley wine. Clear copper no head. Boozey and tastes like a barley wine. Spicy and lots of burn, not sure what they were going for, not that great.

Bottle. Pours clear medium amber with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel with pine and citrus notes. Flavor is about the same, with a definite fruitiness that I would never in a million years place as pomegranate. Medium to very sweet, some citric zesty bitterness present as well. Fairly full bodied and creamy. Actually a pretty nice beer, although the sweetness gets a little cloying with further consumption.

Last unrated bottle from holiday 8 mixer. I am very depressed after afc championship and this brew is being sipped ever so sadly. Pours hazy orange slightly ugly. Nose of light berries and must. Tastes of cheap fruit drink, malt, earth, wood, and bitter finish. Not terrible bht rather uneventful.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver. Pours a bit hazy maroon appearance with an off white head. Juicy cherry, berry, pomegranate, light herbal bitter aroma. Tangy caramel, cherry, pomegranate, herbal, a touch woody, a bit strong flavor. Bleh.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt and pomegranate. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop and light pomegranate flavor with nice lingering bitter finish. A good fruit beer from Shmaltz.
