Batch 1 bottle at Novare Res, 12/29/17 and 4/21/18.
Minimally hazy, brass-bronze-apricot with deep maize hues and a small, off-white head atop that steadily recedes to a ring.
Yellow fruits and a delightfully soft mix of bacteria/yeast rise up immediately as light, neutral oak imparts a wine-like character. Slight cereal and strong biscuity-wheat sit in the background. Neither punchy, nor heavily lactic with only a trace of acetic acid adding cherry-like notes. Sweet marmalade, apricot jam and long, woody, heavy mineral notes follow, punctuating the finish. The younger bottle I had was stronger on green apple, but that seems to be well on its way out, with only slight remnants noted in the 4/21 sample. It's not massively funky in the nose; not yet anyways, but what's there is lovely. This definitely doesn't smell like an American sour under the guise of a lambic.
In the mouth it's fruity, extremely soft, impressively so, with big tannin character and easygoing, but still prominent acidity. Cherry-orange-apricot with light-to-moderate Brett, moderate lactic and light acetic character. More oak keeps things very dry and interesting, as earth, must, cellar and almost a grape-like character linger on the end. Low but tight carbonation and a soft, malty texture. Good dryness throughout. Excellent and well on its way to being spectacular in a few years.

Fles 37,5cl gedeeld tijdens Nacht Van De Grote Dorst in Itterbeek. Boerderijgeur, wat zuren, licht bloemig, droog, aardtonen, mosselachtig? Wat in onbalans. (27-4-2018).

Bottle sampled at Nacht van de Grote Dorst. Hazy dark orange golden with small white head. Funk, hay, light apricot, light baby poop, dried peach, dried herbs. Medium sour, under medium bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Comes close to the real thing, not bad at all.

Bouteille 75cl @ Annual Tilquin Enthusiasts Admin tasting, merci Pierre. Blend 2015-2016.

750 ml. Spilt 3 ways from Novare Res Bier Cafe. Almost clear orange color. Aroma is cobwebs, dirty feet, and apple skins. Flavor is slightly funky yet also sweet and fruity. The tart funkiness hits in the way of barnyard in the finish. Deep dirty finish, awesome!!

Bottle shared with Yves & Jan Panneels, Beth Mckenzie, and Eddie Chimmie @ the Brewery, weekend of the release. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! pours blonde, good white head. Smell is funky, some wood, bit tart. complex. Taste is very full. bit malty, still, very nicely balanced and intense, complex flavors of oak, funk, brett, tartness, ... very, very well made geuze-style beer. Can't wait to try the full bottle I brought back when it has had some time on it, but it drinks amazing as it is right now.
