Cask at The Hursts Arms, Eastbourne. It tastes a lot more watery but in many ways smoother on cask than in bottle. A premium ESB which is exactly what it intends. Ultimately forgetful this time though.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear rich gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, modest fine carbonation. Light sweet malts. Fairly rich fruits, kinda candied tangerine. Some floral hop before a semi dry finish. No fucking eggs! Hurrah! Tidy beer.

Cask at The Lord Nelson, Brighton. It pours clear deep brown with a thick off-white head. The nose is earthy, woody, mild caramel, nut and leather. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, light barnyard, leather, nutty, spice, brown bread and varnish with a rather dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather quaffable ESB.

04.08.2014, cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg:
Tiny bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish floral, wet grass, weeds, bark, sour socks, paper, wet grain, almond essence. Taste is slightly dry, hay, light malts, weeds, heather, flowers, paper, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, just boring.
