Blonde Kapittel in between the regular Blond and the classic, heavy Abt. Since 2009, initially mysteriously referred to as Het Kapittel X. Milky white, creamy head, bright golden blonde colour. Pleasantly honeyish aroma, apple, banana, white pepper, vanilla. Soft fruity taste, some apple, honeyish malts, mellow with gentle spicy notes, mild hop bitterness in the finish.

Draught at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 I hope that this is the correct beer, I had it down as Het Kapitel X from the programme but it seems to be the only newish 8% beer from these chaps. Pours very clear mid-gold with a white head, in fact it looks very good. Alcohol and malt dominate the aroma. There is quite a lot going on in the mouth and the strength of this feels even heftier than the 8%. Really quite malty and sweet, drying a little towards the end. Enjoyable beer. A6 A5 F7 P3 OV13 3.4

Draught Coppery-golden beer, clear, under very fine & dense yellow head, leaving textbook lace. Greenmalt, vegetables, smelling very young, fresh malts and just a touch of caramel. Again young, pale malts, and a bit of parsley retronasal. Empty!! totally empty palate, except for a bit of converted white candi sugar, having become alcohol as against its own will. Does the word "uninspiring" means something to certain people?
