X Anniversary 4/10 Imperial Baltic Porter - fourth in a series of anniversary beers brewed in collaboration with friends from Hidden Springs.
This is a mutual collaboration – a similar base beer was brewed, then supplemented in the final stages to recreate popular desserts from each region. In Wrocław (PL), Guava Pastelitos, a very popular snack in Tampa (FL, USA), was replicated. Meanwhile, Hidden Springs tackled plum-streusel yeast cake, a classic dessert in Poland.
Traditional long aging, preceded by extended fermentation, ensures this beer spends over two months in the tank. Dark notes are present but do not dominate as they might in an Imperial Stout. The selected ingredients offer a light sweetness and a distinctly tropical character. All of this is complemented by dessert-like aroma.

Bottled 330ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Hrabren & Marko. Black coloured, small to medium sized beige head, chocolate, caramel and light alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, chocolate, light fruity and mild spicy with notes of alcohol and sweet finish.

Bottled with Hrabren and Ogi at Ambasada. Almost black chestnut brown body, off-white head. Caramelly, heavily so, sweetish, some fruit. Creamy caramelly taste with guava I guess, some fruit anyway, bit soapy. Low roast in the finish, bit of chocolate. I mean, works, but not for everyone.

0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi and Marko at Ambasada, Zagreb. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma is sweet licorice, molasses, chocolate pralines, roasty. Medium body, soft texture, alcohol hidden. Intense toffee and milk chocolate flavour. Roasty, some dark chocolate. Some blueberry. Quite sweet, finishes sweet with an astringent roasty hint. Not very complex.

20.8.2025. Tap at BeerGeek. Med body, low carbo. Med bitter, med sweet. Lots of chocolate, light cara, candyish. Not as much complexity as I would expect reading the description. Good, but not great. 6.6.
1.10.2025. Tap at BeerGeek Bday. Very sweet, lots of chocolate, medium mapley, fruity, dark fruits. Drinkable despite high abv, tasty, nice. 7.8.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 11%. Black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and guava. Medium sweet flavour, notes of roast malts, chocolate, vanilla and guava (better balanced than the aroma). Low bitterness. Warming mouthfeel.

Bottle @ Patricks. Close to pitch black body under a moderate sized beige head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and hint of mint, herbs and spices. Taste is sweet with soft, dark malt, milk chocolate, hint of coffee, mint and a herbal touch with moderate bitterness. Balanced body with long lasting, slightly warming aftertaste.

BB 10.01.2027 - Czekolada, troszkę ciasteczkowy z domieszką trawy cytrynowej, delikatnie słodkie w stronę pastry, bardzo gladkie, delikatne, ogólnie bardzo smaczne nawet mimo słodyczy.
