22oz Bottle 2005 Pours out a nice and clean dark copper. Topped with a fair off white head. A very nice and sweet nose of caramel and some malt. the tAST IS Pretty sweet as well I can pick up on the 9% aswell. Pretyy good overall.

Bottle. 05 Vintage. Amber beer with a very little off-white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma (mostly citrus) with some backing sweet malt. Nice balanced flavor (maybe slightly hoppy) with citrus and other fruits and caramel malt. LIngering hops with some good bitterness. Medium/full body. Nice american string complexity.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Malty alcohol aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweet amlty hoppy flavor with hints of caramel and dark fruits. Dry malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

2005 Bomber; Nose of spices and dark fruit; slightly hazy copper with a medium, glass-lcing beige head; has a tiny note of sweet dark fruits with a bunch of hop bitterness and a little alcohol lasting into the finish. Not my favorite Barleywine!

12oz bottle-pours a light tan head with hazy dark copper color with particles. Aroma is sweet fruit, malt, syrup. Taste is vanilla, sweet fruit, malt, syrup. 2.9 150308-Full sail old boardhead 06-22oz bottle. Some spruce/phenols. 737313=3.3

(Bottle 65 cl) Vintage 2003. Pours a hazy, very orangey amber with a small, rough head. Nose full of caramel and aroma hops. Full body with sweet caramel and some lovely fruit esters. Lightly aromatic, hoppy finish. But somehow appears a little tired. Tasted at the Oklahoma Beer tasting March 06 hosted by mjames and lilannie. 250306

2004 version. My first impression was that this could almost pass for an IPA especially when chilled. But as it warmed, it revealed more of its barleywine characteristics. Light copper, translucent body with thin head. Leathery, earthy, hop floral aroma with a hint of caramel. The flavor starts sweet with reminders of plums, raisins, apples. Then the floral hops kick in with a bitter bite. The ale sits heavy and sticky on the palate. Long finish, very little carbonation. The alcohol stands well behind the malts and hops.

2004. Thanks to Wohlfs for this! Deep amber body under a smallish off white head. Pleasant, but somewhat subdued, well balanced aroma of caramel and hops. The flavor follows the aroma precisely. Well done, but maybe my palate was expecting something with more intensity than this one. Re-rate 2004 from cellar opened on 1/15/12 Smoothed out nicely. Hops are only bitterness now.

2003. Outstanding. Highly complex. Aromas of citric acid, wheat, hops, dried fruit. Amber with a thick head. Flavor is like no other barleywine I have tasted. Lots of fruit. There are sweet and sour flavors as well. I have never tasted a barleywine so sour; or few beers this sour of any style. This beer is heavy like syrup. The finish is a little dry and here is where the hops really come through. For such a powerful beer, a 12oz bottle might be a better choice than the bomber. -------------------’99 Still holding up. I believe the bottle was stored in cooler for the last six years. Flavor has mellowed a bit. _----------------- 2004consumed in 2016./held on reasonably well. Hops are mostly gone and so is the carbonation but malt flavor.
