Spoons Fest. Clear amber - brown beer. Semi soft and dry palate. Subltle but persistent lemon citrus along with red tangy fruits. A little malt dryness and hop bitterness at the end. Nicely done.

[Gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Attractive ruby-bronze colour. Sweet and malty at first, descends through plummy fruits into rather sour and bitter finish. Ended up liking it a lot less than I first expected. c7

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, JDW, Folkestone. Chestnut colour, quite a drinkable fruity dark bitter. Some red hedgerow fruit, some spicy hop on end. I thought it was decent and in good condition

Cask-conditioned at the Robert Fitzharding, Bristol 18/04/09. Deep brown in colour with reddish hints and a slight, off-white head. Decent fruity aroma, with some sweet malts. Sloes were only evident in the dryness of the flavour, which was vaguely fruity and slightly acidic, before giving way to a very long, dry finish with some hops thrown into the mix. Good.

Cask at the Samuel Peto (JDW), Folkestone. Reddish brown with a thin off-white head; fruity aroma - reminds me of a G&T - that’ll be the sloes then. Dry acidic fruit flavour, rather thinly bodied, with a dry bitter finish. Different and refreshing.
