A rich, copper ale with a case full of gold medals.
Our California Amber takes its inspiration from traditional English ESBs. Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and our proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. However, it’s the American hops that give this ale a distinct bite and floral aroma that have earned it just about every major beer medal.

On tap at the Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel, FL pouring clear ruby red with nice tan head and some sheet lacing. The aroma puts out some pine hops, a touch of roasty malts, crystal malts and a dash of caramel. The taste is similar with pine hops rising above notes of biscuit, malts, a touch of chocolate and a sliver of caramel candy.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-orange color with a huge orange-beige head. The aroma was nutty and sour malts with some fruity hops and a vegetal bock like note. The flavor was sour, tangy, bitter and dryish with light vague fruits and sour nutty malts. Long finish. Medium body. Eh.

Bottle. A nice amber ale. Pours a clear, light gold honey with a moderate white head. Floral aroma, with some earthy hops and some yeast. Hoppy character in the flavor, more earth - very East Coast IPA-esque. Some malty sweetness makes an appearance in the tail. Mouthfeel is biting and sharp. Modestly bitter finish, some light roastiness. Good.

12oz bottle scored via trade. Pours a transparent, copper, reddish amber with a creamy, lightly lacing, slightly off white head. Aroma is very well balanced, malty, biscuits, crackers, oranges, light grapefruit. Very inviting. Flavor is well balanced as well, malty but not overly sweet, oranges, soda bread, crackers, a little lime. Finish has lasting bitterness but is otherwise dry. This is honestly a lesson in brewing balance, very nice.

Nice looking amber. Dark red-amber liquid with a foamy off-white head that leaves some lacing. Caramel malt and relatively light hopping for a California Amber with a lot of fruitiness. Apricots and pineapple abound. It’s very balanced. I tend to prefer hoppier ambers, but I can still appreciate a balanced, sessionable amber ale. There are some great fruit notes that combine with balanced citric/floral hopping and caramel malt. Good carbonation, full feel for a 5% abv beer. Very good.
