RBESG 2010, draught at Brasserie 4:20
Black color, creamy head. Aroma of raspberry, blackberry, chocolate, wood, acetone; almost unbearable. Lean body; chocolate flavor, some fruits, and a disgusting acetone puckering flavor too. Undrinkable.

Bottle 500ml @ Beer2000
[Courtesy of Beer2000] Pours dark brown almost black with no head. Aroma is nail polish, nail polish removal, acetone. Taste is medium to heavy sour and acidic. Bottle was well overdue. This was a bad bottle or just not my kind of beer.

Cask. A black beer with no head. The aroma has notes of raspberries and vinegar - you get used to it. The flavor is quite acidic with strong notes of raspberries as well as lighter notes of wood.

3rd June 2010 - Brasserie 4:20. Black beer, frothy headf. Light palate. Very very sour - like a Duchesse on speed! A little fruity tang and some well buried vanilla. Better than the last time I had this but it is just too sour to the point of burning on the swallow.

tap at 4:20 ... pink tan head ... sharp sour raspberry nose ... light chocolate ... sharp sour raspberry but at the same time an odd sweetness ... wonderfully complex ... big bite in linger ... where most of the sour is

Handbottled from cask @Copenhagen festival
Deep brown color, no head. Sour intensive cranberry vanilla flavor. Sour flavor, liquerish, vanilla, berries, tannines, some stout (roasted malts) in the background. Complex sipping beer. Sourness is very enjoyable in this beer.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe). Very deep ambery brown, close to black, with not much head. Aroma is rather sour along with some roasted notes as well as some mild sour wooden notes. Flavour is rather much salted liquorice, smoked wet wood, very sour berries and also some acidicness. Didn’t like the aroma too much, but oh yes the flavour. Extremely complex and nice.
