@ Raven, Bath. Bright amber-brown. Loose head. Looks great. Chocolate and toast aroma is actually quite appetizing. Chocolatey palate, some sweetness and good malt complexity.

Cask at the Cask and Barrel, Edinburgh, 20-03-09 on the Craig Crawl Pours deep amber with a white head. It was tricky getting the aroma as the barman had decided to mop the floors with some rather strong floor cleaner which really did it for me on trying to capture the aroma so a default score it will have to be,actually once he’d moved on I did start to get some malts. I wasn’t so keen on this I actually thought that it was starting to get a little bit tired although my rating and view is at odds with Craig who rather liked this beer. It was malty, bitter, touch dry but just nothing special really. Btw this was actually labelled Broughton Street and was the house beer for this pub. A5 A3 F5 P3 OV10 2.6

Cask, Beamish Mary, No Place, Co Durham. Pale dark brown colour with a thin off white head. Malty, farty aroma. Sweetish malt flavour, with some vague hop and spice. Dryish, slightly bitter finish. Rather boring really.

Cask at Three Judges, Glasgow. Pale chestnut with thin beige head. Some malt, bit vegetal and not very good which is a shame as the beer line up was probably the best in Glasgow.
