500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear gold, thick white long-lasting head. Aromas of greens apple and wood, light lemon citrus, light malt sweetness. Taste brings more sweetness, cleansing bitterness. Medium body, thin-to-creamy texture. Clean finish. Slips down a treat.

My third and final hand-pulled half-pint of Orkney brews in The Plough, Shifnal, during a CAMRA pub crawl on 14th Dec 13. This was by far the best of the three IMHO: the Dark Munro was fine, the IPA too citrusy for me. Pours a clear light golden colour with a full white cap. The aroma was semi-sweet, as was the taste: light malts seemed to give off caramel and butterscotch esters which also carried on into the taste. Nice feel to the whole thing: well balanced as the hop content rears up towards the end of each sip to equal out the sweetness. The alcohol is well hidden within the flavours and makes the beer far to easy to drink: I prefer slightly sweeter brews, so this suited me fine.

Hazy amber beer with a sweet, hoppy scent. Flavour is mostly hop with a strong grapefruit taste and a touch of sweetness. Finish is sweet hop but with a dryness on the tongue. Very nice.

Thanks to Sean! 50cl.

Bottle:Deep golden, with an orangey sheen and hazy, stable small off-whiite head, moderate fruity nose over a well detectable hoppy base; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering, not overly dry, hoppy and fruity-malty finish. Despite of its strength a nice session-beer…

500ml bottle. Clear golden to copper colour with average, firm, frothy, white head. Minimally grainy and minimally sweet, fruity aroma with notes of gooseberry and rhubarb, Taste is initially minimally sweet fruity, a bit strawy, later with intensening dry, grainy and husky notes.
