Capped 750 from Cap Tap. Pours extremely hazy gold with a white creamy/bubbly head. Aroma is primarily guava. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is sort of creamy caramel with some guava. Interesting. I vote for a lot more guava. A bit sweet for me. I vote for a lot more guava. The texture indicates high ABV to me, but apparently it isn’t so. Did I mention I vote for a lot more guava?

A hazed golden ale with a thin creamy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light guava notes, light off notes. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light guava, weird herbs, alcohol warmth, a bit strange. On tap at Rattle N Hum East. 6-3-6-3-12

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/11/2017. Pours very hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy guava, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, pear, red apple, honey, bread dough, cracker, biscuit, vanilla, marshmallow, ice cream, and light herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of guava, vanilla, lactose, sweet/bready malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy guava, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, pear, red apple, honey, bread dough, cracker, biscuit, vanilla, marshmallow, ice cream, and light herbal/yeast earthiness. Mild herbal bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of guava, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, pear, red apple, honey, bread dough, cracker, biscuit, vanilla, marshmallow, ice cream, and light herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and balance of guava, vanilla, lactose, sweet/bready malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, grainy, bready mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a very nice imperial fruited cream ale. All around nice robustness and balance of guava, vanilla, lactose, sweet/bready malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Definitely tastes like a fruit pastry as advertised, though not as much fruit as I expected. Very balanced between fruit and sweet/bready malts. For an imperial cream ale, it still seems to fall in line with the style nicely. Not too yeasty. A very enjoyable offering.

Papaya, pencil shavings, unripe banana nose. Cloudy ochre, headless. Guava and papaya, quite dry. Full body, moderate carbonation. I was expecting something sweeter or tangy, this was bone dry but still with plenty of fruit character.

Bottle - Sweet and guava notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet guava and nice long fruity finish. Silly amount of fruit, great.

Cloudy, medium tan. Thick head. Has a mellow fruity character that is somewhat indistinct. Soft, creamy, with a light guava note, and the vanilla shows through quite a bit as well. All told, this comes together quite well and it ends up better than it should.

On tap at Bailey's Taproom, pours a cloudy peachy character with a small white head. Aroma is bizarrely earthy, with some armpits and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals more of the adjuncts, with vanilla and berries, along with an Earl Grey-like earthiness. Odd one, but it works I guess.
