Bottle, kindly shared by MT. Dark brown with beige head. Nutty and slightly roasty, touch of tartness. Sweetish sour cherries. Way better than the regular.

2012/2013 blended Vintage. Dark, lightly hazy, mild sour nose with a wee hint of roast. A bit of sweetness/molasses moderates the sour flavor. Reminds me of Verzet. Hint of fruit like cherry as well. Excellent!

12 February 2022. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks for hosting, Tim, and cheers to the whole crew!

Hazy dark brown, thin, foamy, tan head. Aroma of prune, old raisin, jam, toast, dusty fondant, earth, yoghurt. Taste has sweet raisin & prune, sour brambleberry & cocoa bean, woody red grape accent. Earthy hoppy finish, toast & berry jam, tart dried fruits, woody tannins, warming red wine-like alcohol. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Enjoyable and complex; very much on the sour side.

12/II/22 - 75cl bottle @ BBGG Winter 22, BB: 1/IV/26, 2012-2013 vintage (2022-180) Huge thanks to sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Finally I got to try one of the few Tilquins I was still missing. Pours a pretty clear dark red brown beer with a beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, pretty oxidized, bit funky, lots of brett, sour green apples, a bit herbal, white wine. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, pretty bitter, acidic, brett notes, lemony, grapefruit bitterness, spicy touch, a little water. Aftertaste: sourish, bit watery, some alcohol, brett, malty, soft roast, hint of chocolate.

Dark brown colour, beige foam disappears quickly. Wonderfull aroma of red wine, light roasted malts, some caramel, red fruit, funk, typical Tilquin character. Very nice experiment!

At a tasting, many thanks, small stable, bubbly fluffy head, murky brown color, aroma of caramel fruit, wax, vinegar and red wine, flavor of ripe berries and caramel, with some wax and chocolate and hints of dried fruits and vinous in the back, mellow medium sourness. Suprisingly different and really enjoyable.

Hazy, reddish-brown. Medium head. On the nose, there's a woody, touch roasty, Tart, bretty, Light roasty notes, but this has an interesting complexity to it. There's balance, and while I don't normally like dark sours, this has a nice cherry note, and good balance and complexity.
