Appearance is very dark, with a small fizzy light brown head. Aroma is lots of vanilla, earthy malt, chocolate, herbal traces, ginger, caramel, coffee, tiramisu, oaky woody notes. Liqueur chocolate, toffee, dark fruit hints. Boozy undertones. Taste is earthy woody malt, smooth caramel, chocolate, vanilla pods, ginger and cinnamon in the background, coffee, oaky barrel notes, toffee and caramel sweetness, caramel shortbread. Good dessert beer.

330ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, peanut butter, maple syrup. The flavour is liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, slightly oily, liquorice, light vanilla, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

19th February 2024; Shrewsbury Gathering, five blokes and loads of beer to share. Cheers Mike for this 33cl can. Black bodied, tanned topping. Boozy with a ginger bread twist, really pleasant sipper.

Panda. Big thanks to Cloin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head, very small. Smooth light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Slightly tangy dark chocolate cake malts. Some boxy barrel aged vibes. Nice enough.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 03/12/23. Black with a tan head that dissipates to a swirl and edging. Nose is rich roast, booze tunes, big gingerbread hit, spice, herb, molasses, dried fruits, whisky kiss. Taste comprises chocolate, vanilla, spice, more restrained ginger than the nose, caramel, molasses, brown sugar melt. Full bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Another solid well nuanced and balanced BA outing from this series.
