Bottle from Jonas, thanks! Note: expired but was in my cellar and fridge a long while, my bad. Light hazy gold with a fairly frothy foam-fro. Sweet bananas-Foster nose. Flavor indeed packs caramel and bananas (though not brown sugar, rum, and butter if I must admit). Surprisingly not too sweet, very drinkable compared to the average Weizenbock IMO. Lots of rounded, curvy body and delicious yeast esters.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas!. Had this Thursday 18th June 2020 sat outside on the patio after burger night at Gasthouse Hotel Ostermeier and watching Rhys defend his thesis online. Pours hazy gold colour with a large frothy white head. Banana clearly picked up on the nose along with a little crushed nuts, yeast and fruit. Pleasant mouthfeel, the characteristics picked up on the nose also show themself in the mouth, very easy drinking for the abv, pleasant oomph. Like this.

Cloudy orangeish gold, tall white head, stays. Aroma: solid malts, esters, banana, a touch of phenols. Similar taste. Additional sherry. Medium to full body. Warming alcohol. Good.

Old rating. BBE 03.06.06. Nice fruity Weizenbock. Hints of clove, banana. Moderate sweetish with a nice round smooth body.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is wheat, some alcohol sweetness, mild citrus, spices and some toffee as well. Flavour is a nice blend of the same elements in a good balance. Yet it does feel quite fresh when drinking.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes oranges Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hefig fruchtig, bananig, würzig. Geschmack stark hefig fruchtig, minimale Würze.

0.5l bottle. Hazy orange body, white head. Aroma of banana, cheese, hay and some booze. The taste is pretty much like the aroma. Not the best weizenbock that I ever tasted, but not bad.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 26.06.2013
Aroma is yeasty and somewhat fruity with bubblegum and banana esthers. Flavour is rather nice with banana esthers, bubblegum and non‐disturbing alcohol. Also rather strong citrus notes at the end of the glass. Finishes with herbs and spices. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Slightly sour and quite spicy – but I like it!

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, white head. Fruity, wheaty and yeasty aroma with notes of banana, mango and lemon, a spicy yeasty touch, hoppy overtones. Taste is wheat malty, some bread, a spicy yeasty note, some lemon, in the finish some bitter orange. Average to lively carbonation. Fresh, fruity, spicy - solid effort.
