Natural raspberry flavors are added to our UFO Hefeweizen to create this beer. Consistent with the Hefeweizen style, this beer is unfiltered and cloudy with a solid foamy head. UFO R.A.Z. has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast. The body is light and the unfiltered yeast provides a soft mouthfeel. The taste of the fruit compliments the beer nicely, neither overwhelms the other. Reddish-amber pour with a medium fizzy off-white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Light body with a mildly tart raspberry character and notes of bready malt and earth. The finish is fruity with a tart berry aftertaste. Pretty average fruit beer overall.

bottle - This one smells good with abundant raspberry aroma. It tastes sweet and fruity though the fruit flavor comes off as rather artificial. Meh. It’s okay.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Chesepeake, VA opened 7/15/11. Pours a slightly hazy pinkish yellow color with a very very thin offwhite head. Intense aroma of raspberries, apples and wheat. The taste is wheat, tart raspberries, apples. Thin bodied.

They added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to give it a delicate fruit flavor and slight sweetness. The raspberry juice adds a rich color to the cloudy, unfiltered beer, yielding a soft reddish hue. Not a bad friut beer, I don’t think I’d get it again.

Interesting. Unique pink lemonade pour. Taste is closer to a raspberry fruit juice than a typical hefeweizen. Strong sour raspberry nose. This is one beer you will either love or hate depending on your affinity for the fruitier side of wheats.

21st September 2008. Hazy orange beer. Soft and slightly dry palate. a Llittle watery. Quite low carbonation. Slightly tart raspberry. Refreshing.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. The head is off-white with a pink tinge. The taste is raspberry with some earthy wet wheat. The raspberry really helps this beer out. They didn’t go overboard with the raspberry and the raspberry really helps the taste, so this is better than the regular UFO Hefeweizen. Not great, but not that bad.

pours clear pink/orange, white head. Aroma is mostly of raspberries and wheat. Flavor, raspberries, wheat with some lingering bitterness and hops. Overall dry finish, raspberry is light and refreshing not leaving any tart finish that usually characterizes this fruit.
