APOCOLOCYNPOSIS
"FEAR OF TURNING INTO A PUMPKIN"
SOUR FRUIT ALE
COLLABORATION WITH MONKISH BREWING COMPANY
ABV: 4.3%
IBUs: 15
TIME IN OAK: 7 Months
HOPS: Celeia, Fuggle, & Willamette
GRAINS: Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt, Flaked Oats, & Acidulated Malt
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS: Blackberry Puree & Lime Concentrate
LAST RELEASE: March 2019
Our second collaboration with Los Angeles’ Monkish Brewing Company. Apocolocynposis was aged in oak for a total of seven months. Blackberry Puree and Limes were added in the last two months of aging, giving this ale flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and vanilla, that slowly fade with a tart lime touch.
You will be assimilated.
Driving around the country in a Winnebago with a sleeve of coasters, and a growler machine, one sees a lot of weird things.
Weird things of the kind that initially prompted this utilitarian uniting of super wonder twin powers.
Need a strainer gasket? Larger diameter drain tube on that kettle? A better spray nozzle for that hose, or input on how to rid your life of that messy, dangerous, diverter panel?
We are here for you. You will be assimilated.
V.3.0 Galactic Pumpkin
Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Nice clean tart collab here. Plenty of lime brightness and blackberry earthiness. Fruity with a lovely easy nose, and longevity on the finish

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Junction - pours hazy yellow-gold with a small, creamy white head. Light sweet flavour with a little funk, butter, pale bread, lemon, tangerine, light acidity. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly tangy finish, a little salt, more lemon, guava. Not bad.

Pink and opaque. Medium head. The blackberry is the most prominent thing on the nose. Tart, with a light berry fruitiness. Decent but does come across too much like a standard kettle sour.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Opaque red colour. Muddy sour, chalky, oat-y, with a bit of vinous character, and at least it has a load of berries, with a citrus touch.
"Hazy Sour"? A clean and sharp beer would highlight much better the acidity and the fruit.
