Deep copper coloured, strong bitter. Packed full of malty character and dry, lingering hoppy finish. Not too sweet as some stronger ales are.

Cask up the White Lady, as Beartown Bruin. Pours clear golden to amber with a thick off-white head. Aromas of light chocolate and caramel. Taste has light herbal notes behind the cocoa and toffee. Light sweet finish. Excellent value for money on a Wednesday night!

Cask at Wye Bridge House (JDW), Buxton. Amber with a thick white head. Decent full body. Let down by the grubby caramel flavour. Some bitter lemon fights its way through the dirt but overall this isn’t doing it for me.

30th Aug 2014, cask pint at the Briar Rose, Birmingham. Pours a clear amber with an off white head that stayed around and gave off some good lacing. Malt lead in the nose with a slight citrus undertone, malts ruled the taste too with a semi-sweet caramel and dark fruit like flavours. Decent.
