Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. A hazy light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of heather honey. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of honey, leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish. The body is very light.

330ml bottle bought at Cornelius in Edinburgh and shared with Finn at a drinking session in Tromsø. Huge, soapy head over a slightly hazy, golden body. Rich dry smell of malt and honey sweetness. Honey with hints of citric fruits in a taste profile that was less prominent than the aroma. Dry and refreshing in the mouth. Medium bodied [22.11.2008].

A lightly hazed light blonde al with a thin off white head. A bizarre aroma of honey and chalk, boiled vegetables and mashed peas. In mouth, lactic acid with light honey remnants, light malt and body. Shared with Mike H. early 2007.

Bottle from Craig, cheers mate!, had this the night before we set off for Munich 23-01-08 Wonderful aroma was the first thing I noted, the beer poured a hazy golden but once again the honey and yes a floralness no doubt from the heather. tasted quite strange but there was no doubting the honey attributes, refreshing and sweet I like this but I’m not sure exactly why, the aroma is definately my favourite part of this.

Bottle (bought at the brewery):Pale golden and hazy, persistent white foam, delicate, Riesling-like, sourish-fruity nose (peaches); moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; a little bit drier - but with a tinge of honey - in the fruity, slightly bitter finish. a very pleasant thirst-quencher.....
