Bottle. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, grass and cardboard. Flavour of sweet malt, peanuts and light toffee. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Simple but a touch too sweet for me.

50cl bottle from M&S, Camberley. Pale amber with a rapidly dissipating white head; honey aroma; musty honey taste with some citrus fruit; and a dry honey finish. The honey is dominant, but also quite subtle.

Bottle as M&S Scotish Beer with Heather Honey. Golden colour with a white head. The aroma is certainly honey, as is the taste. Very drinkable, and a real honey taste.

500ml bottle from Marks & Spencer, Morningside. As "organic Scottish beer with heather honey". Pours clear gold, thin white head. Strong honey aromas, light butterscotch, light metallic note. Taste is honey, sweet malt. Light body, earthy honey finish. Not my kind of beer.

Bottle from M&S Reading. Deep gold with a small white head that rapidly disappears. Too fizzy for my liking. The honey is obvious throughout, and it’s nice honey too- not too sweet. There’s a little grapefruit up front, which rather clashes with the honey. Marmalade develops (and works better than the grapefruit), but then there’s some lager-like grassy hoppiness that really doesn’t go. Overall then, the honey was lovely, but was let down rather by a poor base beer that didn’t suit it. Nevertheless, I’ve had far worse honey beers than this.
