Cask at the Craft, Pimlico - 30/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a medium sized frothy tan head that retains well. Nose is roast malt, bitter chocolate, molaasses, touch of leather. Taste follows, milky chocolate and way less bitter than the nose suggests, light burnt toffee. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, nice and smooth on the palate leading to a bitter roasted finish. Decent porter.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 1 Dec 2012) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark bread, chocolate and dried fruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, dark bread and a certain cacao bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Well balanced and highly drinkable. Nice one.
