Medelstor beska. Frisk, brödig smak med inslag av citrus. Lång efterbeska.
It is often said that the bilge is brewing master's pride and Wisby Pils is no exception. What characterizes a pils is its abundant hop bitterness, often in combination with a flowery aroma. Here, in an award winning vintage last won bronze on the Beer & Whiskey in 2009. A really crisp pils brewed with only German aroma hops and hard lime-rich water.

Aug ’14. A 0.33 l bottle from Systembolaget, Upplands Väsby. It poured golden body with small head. Fine biscuit aroma, some fine herbal and peppery hops. Pleasantly bitter flavor, but not too much, actually, more sweet. A bit buttery, fine honey, some biscuit and herbs made it up. Medium body. Longer, bittersweet finish mostly following the flavor. Quite a nice pils!

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear pale gold lasting thick white head. It’s an ok pils, some fragrance. A little bit of lager puke malt. Some good hop bite on the finish. Bit of biscuit. Fine.

Bottle originally from Ocado, drunk at home. Pale yellow, almost straw. A decent-sized white head. The aroma isn’t great: a bit too lemony and adjunct-y. However the taste rises this beer above your average lager: sweet, and full with a sour and slightly salty aftertaste. Mouthfeel a bit watery but aided by carbonation. Overall verdict: nice enough, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink this again. Slightly better than the same brewery’s Klosteröl but not their strongest recipe.

Bottle @ Captain’s Corner, Viking line. Clear golden, thin white head. Grainy malty, sweet corn in aroma. Flavor has sweet malt, grain, buttery notes, decent bitterness. Flavor is quite nice, but the aroma was bad.
