An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours cloudy golden with one inch white head that dies down. Virtually no lacing, medium body, and fairly low carbonation. Taste is floral citrus (mostly lemon) wheat, some banana, and a hint of clove.

355ml bottle from Utobeer. Drunk after a shift and a half at work. Hazy orange gold colour, thinnest of thin white heads. Some American hops on aroma, sweet grapefruit. Bit of toffee. It’s not much of a wheat beer to be honest more like a APA for my money. Touch of cereal perhaps. I do rather like the hops over a very easy drinking slightly watery body. Fine. Good aperatif beer.

This Wheat Ale poured a lightly clouded, medium yellow colour with a quick living, white, rocky head. To the nose there are scents of pineapple fruit juice, perfume an floral hopps. First swig was smooth, somewhat undercarbonated and watery. Flavours of caramel, banana and fruit juice. Finish is slightly sweet with an oily mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Thick, cloudy peach color. Nice foamy head. A pretty decent US Wheat Ale, with the yeasty graininess merging with the creamy yeast. The lemon grass is not intense, and I might not have picked it out unless I was informed. Being aware, however, I do get some almost minty herbal characteristics in the balancing bitterness. A nice example of an American Wheat. I feel awkward giving it a 4, but it really is superb for the style.
