This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear gold with a full two fingers of off-white beige head. Sweet caramel, honeyed bread and toasted malt aromas. Sweeter than expected on the palate. Bready malt and lingering honey and caramel on the finish.

Pours dark for a marzen with a creme head. Aroma of sweet malt, oak, fruit. Taste has herbal and earthy notes. Palate has light licorice, barrel notes. Interesting.

Tap. Apples, sweetness, but not too much, caramel, cherry. Bit weird. Alright but not exactly a knockout.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber, with foamy off-white head, faint grassy hops aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter caramel malt taste with grassy hops, thin body, medium finish. Not bad, not remarkable either.

Pretty good marzen, malty but uber-clean, front-loaded with caramel and toffee and esters that quickly fade into a crisp, bright, slightly floral finish. Could use a heftier ass on it, to be honest; the back end loses its steam abruptly, and some lingering sweetness on the fade would hew closer to a traditional festbier, but, hell, we’re still suffering through summer here in Tennessee, so a somewhat refreshing Oktoberfest brew is acceptable. Pretty red-orange pour, probably as appealing a caramel-toffee marzen nose as you can get. Texture’s a tinge overcarbonated. Not bad.

It pours a clear Amber with good head of foam.
Smells malty as in toasted with bread. No real over sweet notes.
Yum. Bready malt, toasted, light bitterness, this is a tasty OFest. I get caramel too but the sweetness level is kept in check. I am a hard ass when it comes to the style so my praise isn’t to be taken lightly.
Medium body with mildish carbonation.
From their sampler pack.
