On tap at the brewpub. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick, dense off-white head. Ginger dominates the aroma without being intense. Malts and a little fruityness as well. The flavor is much the same, but lower on the fruits and higher on the ginger, without being as intense as Brøckhouse’s Sommer Saison. Thin, smooth mouthfeel. Nice, drinkable beer, but the ginger leaves it quite demanding. Especially in larger volumes I guess. (080912)

Draft. A slightly hazy light golden beer with a huge dense white head. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and citrus as well as light notes of butter. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw as well as lighter notes of butter and yeast, leading to a dry straw finish.

A hazy orange beer with a beutiful head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by ginger and yeast. The flavor is very sweet - too sweet for my liking - the flavor contains strong notes of ginger and yeast. The ginger sticks on the tongue long after You swallow the beer. It is too sweet and doesn’t have enough character, is too simple. But it is a nice thirstquencher.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fluffy and white head. Mild citrusy and ginger spiced aroma. Mild ginger flavour with a medium dryness and light wheaty base flavour with a mild caramel malt presence. Smooth bitterness and ginger flavour in the finish. Nice, crisp and refreshing with very little ginger dominans.

On tap at Apollo in Copenhagen. At 5.5%. Gold, thin white head. Definite ginger on aroma. I tend to like the ginger beers. This is ok, a pretty ok golden beer with some ginger infusion. Seems pretty integrated. Fine.

Had this in St Clemens Brewpub, Aarhus 17-09-08 Some ginger powder in the mouth didn’t really get any root ginger or a gingery burn at all. Ginger is the only real taste to mention here, its sweet and a light amber pour and its just ok.

On tap at the brewpub. Golden body with a big white head. The ginger aroma is well pronounced but not to dominating. Flavor is light and refreshing corn, a bit sweet and ginger of course. After tasting the Summer Saison from Brøckhouse just before, which is a totally ginger OD the Apollo version has a much more balanced use of ginger. The negative thing is that this beer has a thin and watery body, so the total impression is rather dull.
