(37.5 cl bottle: RBESG 2006: Thanks to Knut Albert) Shady orange color, tan head. Sour scent, but not like in a lambic, though similar. Some alcohol. Sweet and alcohol taste, a bit sour in the mouth and also in the after taste.

Bottled (thanks KnutAlbert). Hazy nutbrown colour, mediumsized beige head. Arina if sour and dry fruits and a bit alcohol and nuts as well. Flavour is fruitish at first, then it turns butterish and caramellish. Flowery hops are domintaing in the finish. Aftertaste is fruits and nuts. Lovely balance. Some marsipan also noteable.

A hazy deep red beer, which pours with a huge brown head. The aroma is sour with notes of wood, vinegar, berries, and brown sugar. The flavor is both sweet and sour - the acidit running along the sides of the tongue. The flavor has notes of sour grapes, berries, wood, and metal. It starts out with the more fruity notes, but then they fade away to make room for the woody and metallic notes, which in turn gives it a very dry finish.

0.5L Bottle courtesy of my good friend Marco
Bottle was gushing and some yeast snuck into the glass - cloudy red chestnut, offwhite lacing head. Wooden and light tart cherry aroma. Starts off with a oaky flavor from the barriquée which transforms into a subtle cherry and balsamico note. Creamy and sparkly mouthfeel. fruity aftertaste. The mild version is not about extreme flavors and it doesnt have the sourness of a flemish red at all, but its elegant nuances definetely makes it worth a try.

Bottled at RBESG. Cloudy dark brown. Flowery, yeasty, oaky aroma. Sweet with soft, gentle mouthfeel and some banana. The oak adds to complexity, but does not overpower the subtle flavours. Lightly salti finish. Subtle and very complex, not at all what I expected, but a beer that grew on me with each sip.

Rerate bottle, RBESG 2006: Cloudy golden colour. Barnyard and ensilage aroma. Funky flavour, some woody notes, but not very exciting. Original rating: Bottle, RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting. Strong brandy-like aroma, oaky and alcoholic like hell. Extremely oaky flavour, not too sweet. (Rating 3.7).

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Hazy amber colour with a small, creamy head. Complex, vinous slightly sourish nose. But in the flavours not much sourness is left. This appears smooth and mellow with roasted malts and a downplayed sweetness. Very delicate indeed. 120805

Bottle at GBBF 375ml European version Cherry fruit and oak on the nose, more reminiscent of Italian red wine, than a beer. Darkish red brown in colour. Some did not like the wine barrel aged effects, but I liked the cherries coming through and the oak
