Bottle. Ringstead Stores Norfolk. Mostly clear gold hinting towards amber. Half decent soppy white foam. Nose has Norfolk malts. Light peppery hop. Tad of citrus. Some well stewed tea. Taste is a little astringent. Some sweetness. It’s not great really. Thin and bland. Light bitter finish. Probably get this in perfect nick on cask and it’d be great.

Large foamy white head on well carbonated amber coloured body.
1970s Bitter aroma.
Medium bodied, sharp & clean.
Light malt, stone fruit & bubble gum with lightly hopped extremely bitter finish.
Nice enough - Actually tastes like a Pint of Bitter from the 70's!

Cask @ Postal Order, Blackburn. Golden with a glow and a thick creamy head. Perhaps at its most 'bitter' in aroma, but this is a crisp hoppy ale in the main, with a bitterness to it.

Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with minimal almost white head and good lacing. Is very slow to settle but does so eventually. There’s dried apricots in the aroma, plus some hints of malts. In the mouth it is slightly sweet but with a little underlying bitterness and a creamy texture. Stone fruits and malts in the flavour plus hints of caramel, thin cut marmalade and summer fruits. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. Took a bit of getting used to, but decent enough.

Fra cask på Mossy Well: klar dyp gyllen med eksemplarisk skum helt ned. Barskog, litt karamell med hint av bitterappelsin og urter. Fin bitterhet og leskende avslutning her i sommerheten. Lang ettersmak med mersmak.

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar (JDW), Bristol September 2022. Golden in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Leafy hops, light, rich tea malts, a hint of tangerine fruit and gently bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a slightly hazy golden/amber colour with a huge thick foamy white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, biscuits, caramel and light peppery spice. Taste is more upfront citrus and floral with more biscuits, caramel and peppery spice. Also some orange sherbet. Nice hoppy citrus finish. Some bitterness but just the right amount and a touch of sweetness. Nicely balanced. Medium body, low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Very nice beer.

Pours a hazed golden amber colour with a small white head. The aroma is caramel and light sweet malt. A moderately sweet taste, buttery caramel, sweet malt flavours with some fruity notes and a hoppy bitterness in the finish.
