With a fruity aroma of blackberry and spiced fruit, this golden ale is very easy drinking, with a crisp bite.

500ml bottle; BBE Jan 2020. Drank in the afternoon sun on my patio on 27th June 2019. Clear golden/amber body, white crown. Aroma and taste were both caramel forward in nature and the whole brew is sweet with very little bitterness. My sweet tooth liked it though.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours clear yellow-gold with a slim, foamy white head. The nose holds pale bread, hay, vague citrus, faint butter. Light sweet flavour with some bitter hay, husky grains, citrus peel, grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more husky grains, faint butter, more straw. So so.

Fra cask på Union Inn, Plympton 25 Sep 16. Stråfarget. Filmskum. Litt lacing. Beskjeden fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Litt karamell. Svakt syrlig etter hvert. Behagelig øl.

Bottle, as Salcombe Shingle Bay. A gift from the man who is Totnes. Clear gold. Film and ring of lasting, white head. Nose has buttery, creamy grain. Green leaf. Bit of privet leaf. Taste is less sweet than I might imagine, with a privet leaf bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Decent golde.
