A modern interpretation of an English bitter. This is a beer with some bite. Heritage grains gives a full flavour which is further supplemented by some speciality malts to provide a biscuit-like, chocolatey taste.
Freshly cut grass, lemon zest and a hint of cedar wood from the abundance of hops add another few layers of flavour whilst also providing a pleasant bitterness.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 15th July 2026. Slightly hazy copper and shallow off-white foam and scant lacing. Pungent and zesty aromas. Grapefruit citrus in-mouth and throughout what is a bitter finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask handpull at Barley Mow Bristol. Clear gold amber colour lasting beige head. Great condition. Good cask bitter somewhere between a bitter and s golden ale. Some citrus hop some old school English ale. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Decent.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 24 Nov 2024) Pale amber colour with creamy tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with toast, citrus, orange peel and earthy hops. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus peel, resin, apricots and a balanced citric/spicy bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
