25/IV/15 - 25cl bottle as Sas Pils @ ZBF 2015 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2015-518) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear pale straw yellow beer, creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, hay, grains, cow fodder, very German profile. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, metallic, pretty bitter.

Crack Pils - A very malty Pilsener. It offers little. Has quite a sweet flavour. Not pleasant. Avoid.

Tap at the Bonte Koe, Leiden. Poured a crystal clear straw with a round white head. The aroma is malt, yeast, fruit caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a big hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Draught at Restobière, Brussels, as SAS Pils
Pale blond color. A light Pilsner, both aroma and flavor, but at least there is a shade of crispy malts, and some cereals; low bitterness.

Draft @ Restobières as SAS Pils.

Bottle, as SAS Pils. Very pale gold with a white head that lasts. Aroma is grainy and a bit corny with herbal and floral notes. Sweet and a little bready with modest but pleasant herbal bitterness that lingers.

Draught, as SAS Pils at this smelly but kinda cute strange place in central Ypres. Golden colour, thick white head. Dusty hoppy nose. Dry hoppy herbal taste with a nice honeyish note in the end. A likable, drinkable little pils that one could enjoy in larger amounts. Fresh and a nice surprise.
