Cask pour at MTHB. Cloudy, medium amber with cap of thick creamy head. Aroma is light hops with some fruity overtones. Taste adds a layer of hops to the bready malt base, subtle. Cask brings a nice creaminess to the brew, but hard to believe this is a Top 50. Not impressed.

Got a Growler of this in a trade with TastyTaste:
Poured a copper red with a nice thick head of foam. After a while, the foam shrinks down to a fine but solid layer and...look at all the lacing. Wow.
The smell is of citrus and pine and grass and has floral notes as well. Nice smelling IPA that's tickling my smell buds.
The taste up front is hugely hoppy with grapefruit, pine, grass...a wide variety of bitter tones all in one ale and they work really well together. Heck, midway through and just before the finish there's even a good amount of caramel malt.
The finish is superb, leaving me with a good, long aftertaste that let's me savour the flavours long after the liquid has left the scene of this....anti-crime. ;^)
The more I sip on this one, the more I *want* to sip on it...great batch of tastes but easy drinking, light on the carbonation, refreshing as all heck...
Bottom line: I give a big salute to TastyTaste for enabling me to try this wonderful nectar. I *love* it!

Growler, big thanks to Jack. It pours clear dark amber with a decent yellow - white head. The nose is fresh, piney, caramel, varnish, juicy peach, stewed orange and pumpkin pie. The taste is bitter - sweet, decent malt back-bone, caramel, pine, varnish, earth, peppery, peach, resin and brown bread with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good old-skool malty IPA.

Growler thanks to Eric. Pours a dark copper with small frothy off white head. The aroma is floral and pine. Medium mouth, sweet malt, nice hop bite, very good.

Growler sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a beautiful, fairly clear, red-tinted amber (sort of like a ros), with a medium white head. Nose bursts of rich resinous hops, fresh pine tree, coniferous, and a dry bready caramel malt backing - smells delectable. The flavour is very dry and foresty, with coniferous and pine trees, dry earthy hops, and a dry biscuity malt backing. Highly drinkable, with a very dry palate. An excellent IPA.

Growler - provided by Huhzubendah. Thanks! Poured a clear copper color, with a medium sized white head. Lot of citrus hops in this one! Light and enjoyable, this was pretty darn good. Highly drinkable.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head and great lacing. Aroma is fairly weak, with notes of pine, spruce and citrus. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, but I am not sure what all the fuss is about.

Utter deliciousness. Went to Minnesota for a doctor’s appointment, and, lo and behold, thirteen feet from my hotel is Town Hall brewery. The beer gods smiled upon me on this trip. Masala mama is a beautiful IPA, piney but with a huge swath of grapefruit and orange, with a lovely green herbal fade. The malts give the beer a nice comfy padding that keeps the IBUs from ruining the party, yet the hops are still given plenty of space to party down. The texture is scary smooth, meaning the pint disappears startlingly quick. World class IPA, and the flat iron steak at the restaurant is pretty damn good as well.

Growler received in trade from phisigben, thanks for the opportunity. Shared after a long day with HopasaurusRex. Pours a deep golden color with a decent bubbly white head that displays moderate retention and lace. Smells fantastic. Floral, pine, citrus and tropical fruity hops with hints of sweet bready malt deep underneath. Taste is resinous, fruity, pine, and citrus hops with a bit of sweet bready almost caramel malt. Fairly dry with a medium to light body. Moderate level of carbonation with a resinous mouthfeel. Nice flavorful hopification of a beer. If I lived in MN I would drink this all the time, but since I don’t I’m glad I got to try it.
