Brewed traditionally with Challenger and Fuggles wholeleaf hops, Maris Otter and Crystal malts and a trace of coriander. It is the first bottled ale of its type and is truly a class apart. It is very smooth and refreshing on the palate. Accompanies all tasty food, particularly curries, Chinese and Thai dishes.

Bottle picked given to me as a gift. A friend bought this at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. The bottle says Shakespeare’s Globe Ale, and the back says it’s brewed by Nethergate, and this is the only beer i can find brewed by nethergate, that is 3.8%, and has coriander in it. Ok, i digress........
Big aroma of coriander, and lemon, with a touch of spicy hops. Flavor is sweet, but also a bit sour. The coriander dominates with the beer ends with a nice slightly tart lemon aftertase. Interesting beer, something you could really drink alot of i think. Nice offering, i’m quite glad to have been able to try it.

Bottle from B&M Bargains; clear light amber pour with frothy white head, lemon aroma, taste has light citrus along with some spice, vegetables, a strange brew.

500 ml sampled in 2009. Dark golden body with a fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has citric fruit, ginger and soap (probably the coriander!). Flavor is sweet malt, fruity and light bitterness. Thin watery body and short aftertaste. Not much taste, and the taste to find seems unbalanced.

Ugly looking brown ale with a potent soapy/earthy aroma, however it is full of flavour and very tasty.

Flaske 0,5l kjøpt på Tesco Kensington og drukket hjemme 23 Mai 11. Gyldenbrun med et høyt luftig skum. God parfyme/appelsinaroma. Innbydende. Smaken er et steg tilbake. Litt vassen og krydderet (koriander) kommer tydeligere fram. Kan minne om appelsinskall. Ettersmaken litt tørr - og mer koriander. Et annerledes øl, men ikke helt vellykket.

50cl bottle from Tescos, Hastings. Amber with a tight cream head and moderate carbonation; a touch of vegetable to the aroma; rather sweet with some herbs, presumably coriander, and some pleasant, lightly bitter hops giving a drier finish; the texture is incredibly soft and smooth. Very pleasant.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Very distinctive nose and flavour, not subtle. Quite fruit and none too bitter. Think the coriander is imparting some interesting flavours.
