Brewed traditionally with Challenger and Fuggles wholeleaf hops, Maris Otter and Crystal malts and a trace of coriander. It is the first bottled ale of its type and is truly a class apart. It is very smooth and refreshing on the palate. Accompanies all tasty food, particularly curries, Chinese and Thai dishes.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head leaving some lacings. Almost soapy on the nose, with fruits and citrusy, a spiced note, some malts and a ginger-like scent. Soapy, citrusy flavor with some pale malts and pinecones, ginger, and a little bitterness towards the end. Soapy, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Maybe it could work nicely as a refresher, itโ€™s a decent beer, but too strange to be downed all night. (090422)

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a handsome and lacing white head. Slightly rustic and unclean fruity nose. Light body with very perfumy accents - almost like a bar of soap - from the coriander. Dry and bitter finish. Quite fresh. 231208

50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. Nose is hoppy & spicy. Weird, mint/coriander toothpaste like. Medium to thin palate. Very onesided/one dimensional!

Medium offwhite fine-laced head. Pale coppery body with light carbonation. Strange aroma of wet cardboard and sugary citric coriander. Taste is malty coriander with cardboard and orange notes. Some roastiness, too. The aftertaste is the same, and very long. Really disliked this combination. Drain-pour! Later I’ve come to suspect that the cider I drank before this may have messed with my palate. Need to rerate. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.8%. Clear deep golden to orange colour, decent white head. Interesting aroma of fresh coriander, spicy and herbal notes, some fruit too. The flavour has loads of fresh coriander, a slight fruitiness, hints of toffee, decent hops (and more coriander) in the finish and aftertaste. Not too sweet. An interesting beer with a moderate ABV, but probably not my choice for a whole "session".
