Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 26th March 2010. Deep red with thin off white head. Strong fruitiness and pungent earthy notes. Some spiciness of aniseed then citric finish on a smooth partly saline mouthfeel.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2008. Deep chestnut with lasting beige head. Spicy hop grapefruit on aroma. Full in mouth. Decent premium bitter, maybe not as hoppy as some T Hall beers. Finish is nicely hopped, maybe EKG. Tasty.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival 02-05-08 following a two hour queue to get in grrrr! I only really got to taste this owing to Phil L getting a glass but I think that I just about had enough to justify a rating. This poured quite brown and had a nice malty and caramel nose. The flavour was as Phil stated very bready and yeasty and in that respect unlike any other Thornbridge beer that I’d had, it was a very traditional in many respects and I really liked it for being so ordinary because it was actually damn tasty and very well crafted as one would expect from such a good brewery.
