Spoons Spring Fest 2025 - 24/30 sweet doughy bready malts and citrus fruity, notes of lemon and grapefruit, some grain, straw, soft cask carb, bitter hoppy and malty finish.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear amber colour lasting off ivory head. I mean it's not horrible which is always my default for a Sheps beer. Even has some pleasant bitterness on the finish. Zesty fruit on the aroma and in the flavour. Just about ok condition. But the zesty fruit wakes the palate up and this is actually pretty good. Surprisingly good.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a tight white head; berry fruit aroma, slightly sour; sharp berry taste, perhaps some raspberry; then a dry finish with a lasting bitterness.

Beer Number 19 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 9 of 30 still untried plus one of the two variations on the previously tried. This is a nice and easy hopped beer with appealing fruity-floral notes.

Cask at Lime Kiln, Liverpool. Pours golden amber with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and berry fruits in the aroma. In the mouth it starts off sweet with a creamy texture but also a little underlying bitterness which gradually increases. Flavour is floral hops and citrus with hints of malts, marmalade and mango. Finish is slightly dry. It’s reasonable enough.
