Cask handpull The Castle, London. Copper brown colour, slight haze, disappearing head. It’s a not very good bitter, some fruit malt, some tingle on the finish. Aroma is musty and poor, not fully attenuated I’d say.

Cask, handpump at the Woolpack, Banbury, Oxon 18-02-08 Golden in colour with some haze detected, strange aroma to this with what smells like cats piss in there, never mind. Putting tha aroma to one side this was actually ok, quite refreshing fruity and bitterness is alright, not as good as the barman was telling me it was and nowhere near as good as the Mild which I’d had before.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 1 Dec 2007) Reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, apricots and orange. Malty taste with dark fruit, figs, apricots, orange and hints of dusty hops in a fairly short and dry finish. Hardly exciting, but a decent bitter.
