330ml bottle from Rick Stein's shop in Cornwall. Pours golden orange, foamy white head. Herbal fennel coming through nicely on the nose, pairing with a pleasant, balanced Belgian yeast to taste, works nicely.

Bottle care of Cloin. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The aroma is mellow, white bread, sugary, candy, sweet orange and cake. The taste is crisp, bitter, sweet, white sugar, candied peel, orange muffin, alcohol boost and rice paper with a short, sugary finish. Light - medium body and average carbonation. Fair. A touch sweet perhaps.

Bottle from Waitrose, Stevenage. Golden with next to no head. Strong enough, although its local flavouring gives it s strawberry-like aroma and taste, and the ale has an associated sweetness throughout its character. Fairly active in the palate.
