Bottle from, Gulating. Unclear amber body with a nice, foamy and lacing tan head. Nice, strong aroma, both citric and piny hops with a fine touch of malt, bread and light caramel. Flavor has a nice balance between sweet malt and bitter hops, smooth malt, light toast/bread, refreshing fruit, piny hops and sharp bitterness. Impressive balanced body for the moderate alcohol level with a fine, pleasant aftertaste. This was really nice, works both as a thirst quencher and a god accompaniment for food.

August 2019: 500 ml bottle, batch #269, probably from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Deep reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Nice aroma of piney and fruity hops, hints of over-ripe red berries. Fruity and malty flavour, notes of citrus, over-ripe red berries and caramel, but not too sweet.

Nice easy drinkable and tasty beer Hazed amber-ish in the glass and a fine head. Ok lacing Fine intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and a fine bitterness Bready, fruity, caramel malt, grapefruit hoppy and some pine in the flavor [Bottle from LokalPokal in Halden, Norway]

0,5 flaske fra Vaaland 1889, delt med skibsrederen etter tapping av vår nye bitter, mai-19): uklar rødlig kobber med tett skum som holder følge helt til siste dråpe. Fyldig og overbevisende fra første slurk - ristet loff, karamellkjeks, saftige citrusfrukter og noen røde bær. Herlig ettesmak som varer og varer.

6-3-7-4-14 Bottle, #259, 2,5 months after bottling. Pours dark orange golden, with a big creamy, off white head. Aroma is hoppy notes of orange peel, stone fruits, melons and red berries. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is hops with light tropical notes of mangoes and apricots, floral notes, red berries and orange marmalade, as well as malty notes with cereals and toffee.

KYG 291218. Red amber color with a beige head. Flavor is red berries, fruit, malt, hop, pine, citrus, bread, caramel. Easy drinkable nice beer.
