With a defined hop aroma and an ideal gravity this mild enjoys a certain degree of initial sweetness and caramel notes associated with traditional mild yet still manages to produce a dry finish.

Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Light black with a tan cap that soon dissipates. Nose is sulphur, egg sandwich on the wain, earthy fruits, spice. Taste comprises brown bread, musty, ashen, fruit rinds, less eggy than the nasal attack. Medium body, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Not good at all ... not eggsactly what I wanted in a mild !

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and has modest carbonation. Smooth and mellow dark malts. Tangy fruits. Eggs! Getting in to Harvey’s eggy yeast territory. Smooth finish. Love eggs, don’t want them in my beer!

Cask-conditioned at the Bridge Inn, Bristol 31/3/10. Near black with a thin, tan head. A mild with plenty of chocolate, some dark fruit and sweetish flavour, leading to a short, bitter finish. Good.
