Handpull cask at the Peacock, Bakewell. Brownish gold and clear with a suggestion of loose white head. Woody astringent aroma. Taste is surprisingly sweet with notes of iced tea and oak chips. Balances itself throughout the course of the sip. Light, almost watery body with little carbonation. I warm to it but it's not overly brilliant.

Bottle from Bradwell Village Shop. Appearance - light amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - honey going into strawberry jam. Taste - honey, nuts and oatmeal. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is pleasant but which could be cleaner. Overall - probably not bitter enough for the style but not bad.

18th July 2015: hand-pulled cask pint in the garden of The Red Lion, Bakewell Derbyshire. Nice blend, if a little subtle in nature taste wise, amber pour with a white topping. Slightly bitter flavour with a mildly hop like nose. The sunshine helped my mood and this did me no harm, not too sure it did me any good either but I had a good day out with a bunch of like minded people drinking beer.

Had this cask, handpump at The Peacock, Bakewell, Derbyshire Saturday 16th August 2014 Warm gold with white wispy head. Touch warm, fairly typical English hoppy bitterness, quite soft in mouth, not much else to report. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

On cask at Gosforth Fields Sports Club, Dronfield - Amber coloured body with a weak white head. A light, biscuity malt nose, with a faint citrus fruit aroma. The taste is medium dry, biscuity malt, then a grapefruit flavour that leads to a cloying, malty finish.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and hops, and so is the flavor, though also added a slight note of diacethyl.
