Cask @ The Commercial Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Clear golden with a small creamy head. Fairly strong tasting and full-bodied with a light pale ale character evident. Its nose has a berry sweetness.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 28 Nov 2009) Dark amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with orange, dried fruit and lots of fresh hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of apricots, dried fruit and sweet malt giving way for orange peel and fresh, citrussy hops in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet, with a generous bitterness. Nice beer.

Cask at The Hop Pole pubs Easter Beer Festival, Aylesbury in the company of Loz, Chris O, Ruth, Barry, Lynn 21-03-08 Light amber pour with a slight haze, thin white head. Good solid body to this beer, at first I thought where are the hops but they were there and came flooding through on a layer of sweetness. Aroma is light and hoppy. Myabe this is a bit honey sweet at times but the alcohol was pretty well masked and overall I rather enjoyed this though think a few more hops wouldn’t go amiss.

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, B2, Birmingham. Clear light amber color with a small, creamy / frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate hoppy, grapefriut some notes of toffee and butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration. (Hops sweet and bitter). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Very nice ;o))

Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2007. Gold/orange with a few off white bubbles on top. Diacetyl/butter and strong flowery hop aroma. Ever so syrupy in mouth. Buttery toffee and lots of grapefruit. Not entirely sure it works. Grapefruit bite on finish is good. Some strawberry. Strong and syrupy, but with plenty of bitter hop on finish. It’s alright, but that may be the alcohol speaking.
