Casl at Old Bank House. Clear copper g9ls. Foamy white head. Aroma has light bitter and malts. Flavourwise it has light sweetness and light grains over malts. Light-medium bodied. Soft buoyant carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish.

Very pleased to see this, a real throwback. Hand-pulled half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 9th July 2026. All a bit bland and uninteresting to be honest, shame really as I have happy memories of this beer.

Cask at The Griffin, Carlisle. It pours clear blonde with a reasonable white head. The aroma is damp spent grain, toasty, biscuit, oatcake, fragrant, grass and leafiness. The taste is dry and snappy, upfront, fair rawness/ tangy, grassy, leafy, floral, grain, biscuit, porridge and dry wood. Average body and fine supportive carbonation. Was hoping for a bit more given the history and who is brewing it. Fair.

Handpull cask at the Circus Tavern, Manchester. Mid-gold, slightly bronze, clear with a smallish even off-white head. Malty and slightly metallic aroma, a hint of sulphur. Taste is fairly sweet, some caramel and toffee, with a bit of bitter hite-back at the finish. Light body with soft carbonation. Pretty ho-hum.
