The Dickens is our take on one of Jonny's favourites, the Belgian Golden Strong. An effervescent, heady, pale, dry, and lightly bitter beer that remains delicate and balanced despite its considerable strength.

A clear wort was drawn from an infusion mash of pilsner malt and spelt. Large quantities of European hops and cane sugar were added during the boil.

Fermentation took place in our open coolship at warm ambient summer temperatures. The young beer maturated in large oak casks with wild yeast and bacteria until the winter. Finally, the beer is dry-hopped with whole-leaf hops and bottle conditioned for three months before release.

Хорошее чистое пиво по вкусу. Но это Бельгия в стиль? Конечно нет. Хмель совершенно не тот. Горчит сильнее чем надо. Сладости немного не хватает пшеничной. А так просто как пиво хорошо.

Bottle picked up from Hereford Beer House and consumed sat in Frank at WOMO Stellplatz Plattling Friday 20th June 2025 after a day with Mum and Keith in Plattling at World Canoeing Championships and then Volksfest. Pours gold/orange with a mid sized white head, aroma is funky and with a little unripe summer fruit. Taste is funky, tart refreshing and bretty, dry finish, a little woodiness, this is very nice, like it

Another Mills I missed. Rating off UT. This from the 3rd check in. Twanged up to the nines. Losing that Duvel like sweetness. Constantly evolving no doubt. Every one has been like a different bev. Beauty.
