Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours copper with thin white head. Big aroma of dark fruity esters and a load of sweet to grainy malts. Smells yum. The taste feels a tad thin with prunes, dates, figs and plums making up the bulk of the flavor. The malts come across into the finish as a sweet and vaguely grainy experience.

Bottle. Aromas of cooked malt and apple. Hazy dark amber color with a beige/tan head that ringed immediately. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Flavor is light fruits backed by caramel. In all ways this could be a Belgian ale. Mildly sweet fruits, including a touch of raisin, and something a bit spicey. Very smooth drink. Definitely a good beer, but I don’t get the juniper as such.

Pour is a orange with no head at all. Aroma is vegetable with some malts thrown in. Flavor is sweet with some caramel an none of the juniper im supposed to be getting. Also this is almost to the point of being flat. Not recomended.

I expected more of an herbal, saison like beer. This isn’t really like that, and I am disappointed in it for the price I paid, but it is a little different and not bad at all. This is my first sahti. Light aroma, just a little malt and a hint of fruit. Orange beer with almost no carbonation. Surprisingly sweet aroma without the herbal qualities I expected. There are some dry herbs toward the end but I can’t perceive any juniper. Dry finish with raw weeds.

330ml bottle. Dark golden body with beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is also sweet malty with a distinct sourness. A bit strange somehow.

Bottled. It pours almost hazy, golden brown with a small beige head. Caramel, roastiness and some sourness in the aroma. The flavor has caramel and some sourness. Thin to medium body with a little bit of astringency. Short finish, except for some lasting sourness. Not my cup of tea. (070302)

33 cl bottle, no freshness dating. I was going to compare this to the Rogue Juniper Pale Ale I had last night, but they really are two different beers. This one pours out a bit murky brown with only a trace of a head. Somewhat oxidized malt smell suggests this is an old bottle. Taste has only the slightest hint of spiciness, but more a generic Juicy-Fruitiness. There is a bit of fruit sourness suggesting the juniper almost completely replaces any hops, per style. Light body disguises its abv. Interesting to try. Perhaps this should be classified as an "old ale,"
