Can. Pours slightly hazy darkish straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with touches of spruce and malt. Bitter, hoppy and piney flavour with notes of citrus and sweetish touches of malt, fruit and yeast. Bitter and citric aftertaste with fruity touches. A nice one.

Can, 7.1%. Good fruity and juicy aroma with notes of grapefruit. Hazy dark golden colour. Fizzy and unstable white head. The flavour starts off surprisingly bitter with notes of grapefruit. Also a little sweeter than expected with some acid to balance. Rather in-your-face, but clean and nicely flavourful.

Can. A very mild haze on this rich gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a modest creamy sweetness. No caramel here. Hops bring cooling pine. A pretty forward modern Mosaic candy fruits vibe, feel like some added some Refreshers on the quiet! Ripeish citrus brings up the back end, some peel. Light finish. A bit of a switcheroo from PI. Not the West Coast IPA style that I have had from them recently. Obvious by the colour, the snout and the absence of any caramel malts. This feels more like an old school IPA rather than trad WC. The better for it IMHO.

Can from Slijterij Kisjes, Meppel. Piney hop with malt, orange, grapefruit, soft pine resin, touch of marmalade. A bit on the sweet side with a moderate to medium bitterness. Nice, piney, ripe-ish fruits, could be more bitter.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. A covering pearl white head with good lacing, over a golden-amber body, hazy. Quite promising ripe citrus on the nose, hints of orange. Soft hop fruity flavours, moments of orange, apricot and dough-like malts. Bittersweet finish. Quite tasty. (Tromsø, 13.05.2025).

I wonder if the Blue Oyster bar from Police Academy would have progressed to serving craft beer if a remake was made. This lovely tropical west coast beer would be more than apt with sweet notes in both aroma and taste
