Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and rather hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Seems less bitter than it used to before the Raasted bancruptcy. I wonder whether he changed the recipe to appeal to a wider audience. 040910

tap at lord nelson. Was told it was much better when totally fresh. Clear brown, smooth small offwhite head. Mild flowery and fruity aroma. Notes of pine and grape, but mild. Malty base. Tight and bitter.

Draught@Orsted Olbar, Copenhagen. A copper coloured affair with a medium sized off-white head. Generous hoppage, sweet malts and fuit in the nose. Decent resinous hop in the flavour. Reasonable balance. Dry bitter finish. Solidly drinkable and I’m a sucker for a bit of cascade action.

Draught at Monks Porterhouse. Pours brown red with a rather dark beige and creamy head. Taste of passion fruit and caramell malt. I really like that it is low abv (4,8 according to the menu).

Medium beige head. Deep red body with carbonation. Citric floral resiny aroma. Dry resiny floral citric taste with fruity notes. Light body. Faintly harsh mouthfeel. Dry floral resiny aftertaste is a bit one-dimensional. Not bad, but could use more body. (0.33l bottle in some random Copenhagen bar.)

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts intense hoppy, also sweet. Becomes more and more dry, the finish is woody and moldy, also sourish and fermented. Had better ones! Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for the bottle!

Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry bitter hops with a good caramel malt backbone. Taste is also a nice mix between some dry and lightly citrusy hops with a bitter finish and a strong caramel malt backbone. Body is average with good carbonation. Not bad overall but I was expecting more citrusy flavor from this beer.
