He is a ruler, an overlord, a top dog, a crowned head.
In the realm of all that is tart and sour, Jelly King reigns supreme.
Rather than choosing between sour or hoppy, we decided to create a beer that would be both at the same time. Showcasing the aromatic benefits of a generous dry hop, harnessing the prowess of lactic acidity, and coming to a can near you without a pesky slumber in oak, Jelly King is the fermented embodiment of immediate gratification.
What it smells like, what it tastes like, what it looks like: Jelly King combines bright and juicy hop aromatics with a refreshingly tart base, and is bursting with notes of fuzzy peach, tangerine, and grapefruit.

500ml brown bottle from the LCBO. Pours a hazed golden colour with a fizzy off-white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing. Carbonation seems on the bigger bubble size, like pop. Very sour nose with the citrus notes in the background. The taste is quite sour as well with a dryer finish. The sourness is so intense, it is hard to get the citrus and other fruits. Still, not bad as in not so funky-earthy from the Brett, and not much yeast, tart lingering as some in the style. Sourness with some mild blended fruitiness.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, galf-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sour-ish fruity, lactic and minimally woody aroma, notes of kumquat, yuzu, quince, hints of cigar box. Taste is mildly tart, fruity, lactic, slightly dry, woody, notes of yuzu, quince, kumquat, hints of cigar box, a touch of sauerkraut, subtle residual sweetness; superbly adjusted carbonation. Mild, well balanced, very refreshing, highly drinkable. Very good.
