Bottle from the Beer Bar Jive, Kyoto. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, yeasty, floral perfume hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, watery, mineral, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Slightly hazy, has a bit dirty character. Not bad, a bit tart and light. Sweetish malt.

Part of the 580 yen tasting set. On tap at Kizakura Kappa Country. A slightly clearer pale straw gold than the Blue Nile a milder coriander nose as well with some earthiness. Great filmy long-lasting head with excellent Belgian lace. Smooth med-light body. Much more malt forward than the other beers with some fruitiness & spiciness. Probably the best balanced of the three Nile beers.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow, fair sized head. Neutral nose. Sweetish and spritzy with light bodied and equally light flavour. Slightly salty. Drinkable, but not very intriguing.

Tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow color. Dry wheat flavor. Rather fruity and inoffensive, but the wheat character is not outstanding. Easy drinking yet not really interesting.

Very pale straw with a rocky, white head. Grass, light floral, malt, and what I assume is rice. Sweet malts, light citrus, floral, with some spices trying to prove themselves, but not strong enough to do much of anything. Boring but refreshing. Very much in the Kizakura flavor profile.
