Dating back over 300 years Pale Ale was once the preserve of the wealthy... thankfully time have changed!

Taste Notes: Pale and bitter yet interesting? Sounds just like a Jane Austen heroine! No Mr Darcy's here though, just a deliciously fruity, hoppy and malty ale!

330ml can from Sainsburys. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a short-lived fizzy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, buttery yeast, light sweet citrus fruits, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, fuity, light dry pepper spice, hop bitter palate. Mediuam bodied with average to lively carbonation.

330ml can bought at a Sainsbury's store. Shared with Finn. Rocky white head, lacing rings on the glass, near-golden body. Ripe citrus nose. Taste of mid-sweet citrus joined by a piney moment. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Fair enough. (Hotel room, Swansea 02.10.2018).
