Can at home thanks to Tipple. A translucent bright golden yellow coloured pour with a rocky white head. Attractive. Aroma is nice clean bready malts, with exotic tropical fruits, papaya, lychee, melon, light pariffin wax. Nice. Flavour is composed of crisp pale grains, straw, waxy citrus fruit, petrol, spicy citrus, lime, pinch of salt. Little burnt rubber thing. Palate is crisp , dry, highish carbonation, slightly thin grainy finish. Not bad.

Can from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is malt, smooth light citrus fruit, yeasty, light malt. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, fresh, slightly watery, malt, light nettle, citrus fruit palae. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Really nicely balanced and refreshing. Lots going on but nothing dominating.

Can at home in Hackney - cheers to Tips for sourcing. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds clean pale bread, a little tangerine. Light sweet flavour with more citrus characters melon, mild bitter rind, more pale bread. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Well balanced in the finish, some crisp biscuits, lemon peel, tangerine, white grape. Overall, solid. Highly drinkable.

Keg at MKs. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, apricot, bit spicy, green, chives, spice, peaches and cream. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, green, weedy, chives, grass, spice, apricot, stone fruit, toasty grain, pine, bready and sponge cake with a soft finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not sure I would clock this as a lager mind you decent though.

Can, picked up at Cloudwater. Soft haze on a dark, yellow gold. Thick and foamy, collapsing, just off white head. Nose has sweet and biscuity, slightly spicy malts. Bit of a toasted bread thing going on. Soft, citrus peel hop. Some cut grass. Bit of a smoky note, that I’ve noticed before in CW IPLs. Taste has a light, biscuity sweetness. Some grassy, privet leaf bitterness. Clean mouthfeel. Slightly drying. Medium body. Sweetness on the finish. As good an IPL as they’ve done yet, I think.
